Still Single but I'm Good

Featured in Life Lessons Magazine February Issue

FEBRUARY | 1:11pm

Dirty Thirties.

The “Dirty Thirties” doesn’t have to mean the dirty you think of. What if your thirties meant taking the time to get to know you…the REAL you? What if you got dirty and dug deep to see what was underneath all the layers that you have built in life and hid under? In Melissa Davidson’s feature “Single and Not Lonely” she lives the life of being single with ZERO shame, and most definitely not lonely. What a genuine concept! Not many people can truly walk the talk of being happy while being single, but Melissa lives life completely in love...but whom with?

Many of us, both women and men, have had our fair share of heartbreak. Davidson, like us, is no stranger to the feelings of loneliness and painful heartache. Time and time again she endured the “lost aura” of living life validating herself in every relationship she involved herself with. What is it that makes us humans do that to ourselves? Why do we look outside of us to find the answer that only lies within?

single but not lonely!

While When I read Melissa’s story, it resonated with me as a woman who struggled in life attempting to live my beliefs through the filter of the person I had attached myself to. Davidson’s experiences through dating represent a very valuable life lesson; a life lesson many never truly discover. But on the pages of Life Lessons Magazine, yet another life lesson is presented in a way that is real and true. No sugarcoating, no pretending. Melissa’s experiences exhibit another human being taking a life lesson handed to her, this time through the ins-and-outs of dating, and turning it into her power; power she will live for the rest of her life.

“In Single and Not Lonely” Melissa takes us to the source of her pain and when she finally took the time to address it, she discovered her personal freedom. The dark horse of her past no longer haunted her after she learned how it crippled her in her relationships with men. Dating the “good guys”, the perfect man, the man that relished in her beauty…all of them leading to dead ends. How do you break the cycle? How do you receive love and not just give it? In Davidson’s feature, she tells you EXACTLY how to achieve the love you deserve and it is something ANYONE can attain.
