racing with rats!
Skipp Young is a man offering another solution to living life OUTSIDE the rat race. In his feature Color Outside The Lines, Skipp walks you through some of the interesting aspects of being your own boss and how when you color outside the lines of the model of the rat race presented us you can live a life of abundance without selling your soul for your achievements.
For years, I personally lived in the rat race. It damn near killed me. I felt I needed to always say YES, in fear that someone else would take my place. This fear led me to constantly be looking over my shoulder for the next competitor because I always doubted my abilities and thought that someone better would come to take my place. Essentially what I was telling myself, and those around me, that I wasn’t worthy enough to just be who I was. I had to PROVE my worth, which is one of the biggest lies we’re told. We don’t prove our worth to anyone, not even ourselves. We are born worthy. We receive based on that worthiness; in relationships, business, opportunity. Once I realized that, I realized how equal we all are. Each of us has immeasurable value and that we all offer something special. The work model of our society doesn’t want us to achieve; they want us to be ruled. What if there was a different way?
In Skipp’s feature, you can see there is another way. Not the only way, but another way. Be inspired by Life Lessons Magazine’s feature Color Outside The Lines and see what the life lessons learned by Skipp Young might help you achieve.
